ERCC1 Antibody

Recognizes a protein of 110kDa, identified as Excision Repair Cross Complementing 1 (ERCC1) . It is a mammalian nucleotide excision repair (NER) enzyme involved in repair of damaged DNA. ERCC1 is a homologous to RAD10 in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which is required in mitotic intrachromosomal recombination and repair. ERCC1 is required in repair of cisplatin-induced DNA adducts and ultraviolet (UV) -induced DNA damage. High expression of ERCC1 has been linked to tumor progression in a variety of cancers including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), squamous cell carcinoma of the head, ovarian cancer and esophageal cancer.

Image Legend

Analysis of HuProt (TM) microarray containing more than 19,000 full-length human proteins using ERCC1 antibody (clone ERCC1/2318) . These results demonstrate the foremost specificity of the ERCC1/2318 mAb. Z- and S- score: The Z-score represents the strength of a signal that an antibody (in combination with a fluorescently-tagged anti-IgG secondary Ab) produces when binding to a particular protein on the HuProt (TM) array. Z-scores are described in units of standard deviations (SD's) above the mean value of all signals generated on that array. If the targets on the HuProt (TM) are arranged in descending order of the Z-score, the S-score is the difference (also in units of SD's) between the Z-scores. The S-score therefore represents the relative target specificity of an Ab to its intended target.
