TJP3 (vPairTM) Antibodies

Rabbit polyclonal to TJP3. TJP3 antibodies represent a pair of fully characterized antibodies that recognize two different regions of a target protein. The product is developed by Biorbyt to address whether the signal observed truly represents the protein of interest, an often encountered issue in antibody pairs-based assays. The use of a pair of fully characterized vPair antibodies in the same assay can validate signal specificity since vPair antibodies recognize two independent epitopes of the same protein. Different sets of vPair antibodies are developed at Biorbyt to work with specific applications, including antibody pairs arrays, Western blot, IP-Western, ChIP, IHC, and FACS. Tight junction protein 3 (TJP3) is a member of the membrane-associated guanylate kinase-like (MAGUK) protein family which is characterized by members having multiple PDZ domains, a single SH3 domain, and a single guanylate kinase-like (GUK) -domain. In addition, members of the zonula occludens protein subfamily have an acidic domain, a basic arginine-rich region, and a proline-rich domain. TJP3 plays a role in the linkage between the actin cytoskeleton and tight-junctions and also sequesters cyclin D1 at tight junctions during mitosis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms of TJP3.
