Mouse Anti-Clostridium botulinum B Toxoid (aa1278-1291)

May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Recognizes and binds to intact whole C. botulinum Toxin B, amino acids 1278-1291. Has been found to stain Neuro2A cells treated with GT1b ganglioside prior to the addition of C. botulinum Toxin B. Inhibits the entry of C. botulinum Toxin B to Neuro2A cells treated with GT1b ganglioside prior to the addition of the toxin. Cross-reactivity:C. botulinum Toxin B (1278-1291): 100% C. botulinum Toxin B: 100%, C. botulinum Toxin A, C, E and F (1272-1280): 0%.
