TBCB (Tubulin Folding Cofactor B) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with TBCB include Hypoparathyroidism-Retardation-Dysmorphism Syndrome. Among its related pathways are Chaperonin-mediated protein folding and Cooperation of Prefoldin and TriC/CCT in actin and tubulin folding. Binds to alpha-tubulin folding intermediates after their interaction with cytosolic chaperonin in the pathway leading from newly synthesized tubulin to properly folded heterodimer. Involved in regulation of tubulin heterodimer dissociation. May function as a negative regulator of axonal growth.
