Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) (AB1439) Rabbit mAb (Ready to Use)
Product Specifications
Background
Thyroperoxidase (TPO) is an enzyme expressed mainly in the thyroid gland and directly participates in iodine oxidation, tyrosine iodization and tyrosine iodide coupling in thyroid cells. The expression of TPO is related to tissue differentiation and function of follicular cells. TPO is highly expressed in normal, proliferative and most benign tumorous thyroid tissues, and significantly decreased in malignant thyroid tumors. Therefore, the antibody can be used in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid tissue.
