LNSMGQD
LNSMGQD is a peptide that targets the adhesion interface of desmoglein DSG1 and DSG3, and interferes with the DSG trans-interaction single peptide (SP) component. LNSMGQD blocks autoantibody-induced loss of DSG trans-interactions by binding to DSGs, inhibiting p38 MAPK activation and keratin filament retraction. LNSMGQD can be used to study autoimmune skin diseases such as pemphigus vulgaris[1].
