Zalcitabine
Zalcitabine (ddC) is a nucleoside analog reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) that potently blocks HIV replication by terminating viral DNA chain elongation. It has been utilized in both in vitro virology studies and in vivo models of HIV infection for antiviral research.
