BT173 is a novel small molecule inhibitor targeting Homeodomain-Interacting Protein Kinase 2 (HIPK2) . It attenuates renal fibrosis by suppressing the TGF-β1/Smad3 signaling pathway, as demonstrated in relevant in vitro and in vivo fibrosis research models.
