To a lesser extent, also catalyzes direct attachment of m-Tyr (an oxidized version of Phe) to tRNA (Phe), thereby opening the way for delivery of the misacylated tRNA to the ribosome and incorporation of ROS-damaged amino acid into proteins (By similarity) .
