Amastatin hydrochloride

Amastatin is an inhibitor of aminopeptidase A and leucine aminopeptidase (IC₅₀ values of 0.54 μg/ml and 0.5 μg/ml). It does not show any significant inhibition of aminopeptidase B, trypsin, chymotrypsin, elastase, papain, pepsin or thermolysin. It is a competitive inhibitor of aminopeptidase N. Inhibitors of aminopeptidase N can be beneficial in inhibiting COVID-19.
