CK2α/CSNK2A1 protein can phosphorylate serine or threonine. It is involved in the regulation of cell cycle, apoptosis, transcription and viral infection, and has protective effects on the spindle assembly checkpoint and p53/TP53-mediated apoptosis. CK2α/CSNK2A1 can also participate in signal transduction by phosphorylating various factors, affecting circadian clock function and virus life cycle.
