Anticancer agent 253 (Compound 26) has anti-cancer activity against breast cancer cells, with IC50s of 6 μM (MCF-7), 10 μM (MDA-MB-231) and 6.4 μM (4T1 cells) . Anticancer agent 253 arrests cell cycle and induces mitochondria-mediated apoptosis in cancer cells. Anticancer agent 253 inhibits Akt phosphorylation in human breast and prostate cancer[1].
