Anti-Ovine Oxytocin

A synthetic peptide corresponding to the antigenic region within the oxytocin hormone residue. This peptide was conjugated to carrier protein to enhance the immunological response.

This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Expiration date is one (1) year from date of receipt.

IHC. A concentration of 1 in 2000 is recommended for IHC. IHC performed in sheep brain (hypothalamus) demonstrates intense staining of cells and terminals. No staining is evident when the primary antibody is pre-absorbed with 0.5 mg/ml of oxytocin. The optimal working dilution should be determined by the end user.
