Anti-Dengue Virus 2 Envelope Protein
a flavivirus group specific antigen allowing the detection of dengue virus 2 antigens. Infection by the dengue virus causes dengue fever, an infectious tropical disease, primarily transmitted by A. aegypti, a species of mosquito. There are 4 antigentically distinct virus serotypes (DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3 and DEN-4) which can cause infection and infection by one does not provide cross-protective immunity from the other serotypes.
