Anti-CD45 LCA
Encoded by the gene PTPRC, CD45 is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. It is required for T-cell activation through the antigen receptor. It serves as a positive regulator of T-cell co-activation upon binding to DPP4 and recruits and dephosphorylates SKAP1 and FYN upon T-cell activation. Mutations in the PTPRC gene is associated with diseases including severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID), and hepatitis C. CD45 is useful as a marker to recognize different stem cells such as mesenchymal stem cells and hematopoietic stem cells.
