Rabbit anti Mouse IgG3 (subclass specific)

The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the subclass IgG3. It does not react with other subclasses of IgG, IgG/Fab fragments, IgM and IgA or any non-Ig protein in mouse serum, as tested by immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion. In precipitating techniques as immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion to identify the presence of IgG3 in mouse serum and other body fluids or to determine its concentration. To prepare an immunoadsorbent for the purification of mouse IgG3 from serum or plasma.

Pools of purified homogenous IgG3 isolated from pooled mouse serum. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.

Precipitation assays. In immunoelectrophoresis use 2 μl or equivalent against 120 μl antiserum. In double radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony) use a rosette arrangement with 10 μl antiserum in a 3 mm diameter centre well and 2 μl serum samples (neat and diluted) in 2 mm diameter peripheral wells.

Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized whole antiserum; No preservative added, as it may interfere with the antibody activity; Total protein and IgG concentration in the antiserum are comparable to those of pooled; Normal rabbit serum; No foreign proteins added; Reconstitute the lyophilized antiserum by adding 1 mL sterile distilled water
