BIBR-1532 is a highly potent mixed-type non-competitive inhibitor of telomerase. It inhibits telomerase in a dose-dependent manner, with an IC₅₀ of 93 nM. It specifically targets the telomerase reverse transcriptase catalytic subunit, TERT. It induces senescence in cancer cells.
