Chickens were immunized with purified Keyhole Limpet Hemocynanin (KLH). After multiple immunizations in Freunds adjuvant, eggs were collected and IgY purified. Anti-KLH was immunoaffinity purified using purified KLH immobilized on a solid support and and conjugated to N- hydroxysuccinimide (NHS)-activated agarose beads. Beads were washed extensively after the blocking of the residual NHS sites.
