Oxazole Gold

Oxazole Gold is the most sensitive fluorescent gel stain available for DNA and RNA. The dye is 25–100 times more sensitive than ethidium bromide and exhibits a >1000-fold fluorescence increase upon binding to nucleic acids. The selective labeling of mitochondrial nucleoids in living cells is another application for oxyazole gold.
