The calcineurin A/PPP3CA protein is a calcium-dependent, calmodulin-stimulated phosphatase. PPP3CA inhibits MAP3K14/NIK signaling and SLC9A1 activity. PPP3CA is involved in processes such as kidney development, salivary enzyme secretion, hippocampal homosynaptic depotentiation, keratinocyte survival, bone formation, and T cell proliferation.
