This antigen is prepared by detergent extraction of the reticular bodies to prepare chlamydial outer membrane complexes (COMCs). This premium antigen is highly recommended for the detection of IgG, IgM and IgA antibodies against C. pneumoniae. Additionally a recombinant C. trachomatis MOMP antigen is also available which is produced in E. coli, purified by chromatography in the presence of urea. Purity of ≥ 95 % is confirmed via SDS-PAGE (Coomassie staining) and the antigen is suitable for the detection of IgG, IgM and IgA antibodies against C. trachomatis.
