CheKine™ Micro 6-Phosphofructokinase (PFK) Activity Assay Kit
CheKine™ 6-Phosphofructokinase (PFK) Colorimetric Assay Kit provides a simple and easy colorimetric assay for measuring PFK in samples.
Product Specifications
Background
Phosphofructokinase (PFK) is widely found in animals, plants, microorganisms and cultured cells. It is responsible for the conversion of fructosae 6-phosphate and ATP into fructosae 1,6 diphosphate and ADP. It is one of the key regulatory enzymes in the glycolysis process. Applications Notes
CheKine™ Micro 6-Phosphofructokinase (PFK) Activity Assay Kit provides a simple, convenient, rapid and colorimetric PFK detection method. PFK catalyzed fructosetose 6-phosphate and ATP to generate fructose-1, 6-diphosphate and ADP, and pyruvate kinase and lactate dehydrogenase further catalyzed NADH oxidation to NAD+ in turn. The NADH decline rate was measured at 340nm, which reflected the PFK activity
Other Product Names
6-Phosphofructokinase; PFK; Colorimetric; PFK Assay
Recommended Usage
• Do not mix or substitute reagents or materials from other kit lots or vendors. • It is advisable to measure serum potassium as soon as possible after blood collection. • Ensure all reagents and equipment are at the appropriate temperature before starting the assay.
