Human IL-3 Protein, His tag (Animal-Free)
Human IL-3 protein, His tag (Animal-Free), expressed in HEK 293 Cells
Product Specifications
Background
Human interleukin-3 (hIL-3) is a therapeutically important cytokine involved in the maturation and differentiation of various cells of the immune system. IL-3 predominantly produced by activated T lymphocytes, stimulates both endothelial cell proliferation and functional activation. Unlike other cytokines, IL-3 is a cytokine with a multilineage potential and broad spectrum of target cells and it plays a vital role in hematopoiesis. Due to its common receptor subunit, the action of IL-3 shows functional redundancy with other cytokines such as the granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor and IL-5. IL-3 has been successfully used in ameliorating radiation-induced bone marrow aplasia and similar conditions.

Storage Conditions
Lyophilized Human IL-3 protein, His tag (Animal-Free) should be stored desiccated below -20°C. Upon reconstitution, the protein should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -20°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) . Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Protein Length
The recombinant human IL-3 protein consists of 140 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 16 kD.The apparent molecular mass of the human IL-3 is approximately 17-35 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions due to glycosylation.
Formulation
Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4.
