HpGT Protein, Helicobacter pylori is a glutathione-degrading enzyme that is a virulence factor in infection. Glutathione hydrolase proenzyme belongs to the gamma-glutamyltransferase family. pylorigamma-glutamyltranspeptidase is expressed as a 60-kDa inactive precursor that must undergo autocatalytic processing to generate a 40-kDa/20-kDa heterodimer with full gamma-glutamyl amide bond hydrolase activity[1][2]. HELPY Protein, Helicobacter pylori (T380A, His) is the recombinant HpGT protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.
