Human DRD2 Protein, Flag, His Tag (Detergent)
Dopamine receptor D2 (DRD2) is G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) that belong to the D2-like dopamine receptor family, couple to Gi to reduce adenylyl cyclase. DRD2s are expressed in different neuronal cell types within the striatum, dopamine binding leads to the inhibition of dopaminergic synaptic transmission. Altered expression level and function of DRD2s are observed in Parkinson's disease, making DRD2 one of the most common therapeutic targets for Parkinson's disease. DRD2 agonists can reduce the side effects of L-DOPA and enhance the therapeutic effect.
