Chickens were immunized with highly purified Botulinum Neurotoxin Type A (Heavy Chain Binding Domain) (HcA) (Clostridium botulinum). After multiple immunizations in Freund's adjuvant, eggs were collected and the IgY purified. Anti-Botulinum Neurotoxin Type A Heavy Chain Binding Domain was immunoaffinity purified using the immunogen immobilized on a solid support and conjugated to horseradish peroxidase.
