Chickens were immunized with highly purified sheep IgG isolated from pooled normal sheep serum. After multiple immunizations in Freund's adjuvant, eggs were collected and the IgY fraction prepared. The antibodies were immunoaffinity purified from a solid phase immunoabsorbant and conjugated to fluorescein isothiocyanate.
