Chickens were immunized with purified Keyhole Limpet Hemocynanin (KLH) . After multiple immunizations in Freunds adjuvant, eggs were collected and IgY purified. Anti-KLH was immunoaffinity purified using purified KLH immobilized on a solid support and and conjugated to N- hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) -activated agarose beads. Beads were washed extensively after the blocking of the residual NHS sites.
