Rabbit anti Sheep erythrocyte

Washed whole erythrocytes were prepared from fresh blood and used for intravenous immunization. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.

Precipitation assays. Hemolytic titre at which 50% lysis occurs following mixing of equal volumes of antiserum, guinea pig complement (at a dilution of 1:60) and 10 8 RBC/mL not less than 1:3,000 when tested with sheep erythrocytes.

Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized, stable whole antiserum; No preservative added; Total protein and IgG concentrations in the antiserum are comparable to those of pooled; Normal rabbit serum; No foreign proteins added; Reconstitute the lyophilized antiserum by adding 1 mL sterile distilled water
