Persistent endothelial injury promotes adaptive adverse reactions by promoting the release of factors leading to vascular homeostasis and tissue structural disorders. Caspase-3-dependent death of microvascular endothelial cells leads to the release of unique exosomes. CD31, a marker of endothelial cells, was also observed in exosomes, which opened up a new way for the diagnosis of endothelial dysfunction.
