Anti-p504s Antibody
Anti-p504s Antibody detects for the presence or absence of p504s (also known as α-methylacyl coenzyme A racemase (AMACR) ) which is an enzyme localized in the peroxisome and mitochondria. It plays a role in β-oxidation of branched chain fatty acids and bile synthesis. p504s is a tissue biomarker for cancers such as prostate cancer, colorectal cancer, and high-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia which is a precursor lesion of prostate cancer.
