Deacetylcephaloglycin
Deacetylcephaloglycin is the active metabolite of Cephaloglycin. Deacetylcephaloglycin is a degradation product of Cephaloglycin that eliminates the 3-acetyl group in acidic medium and can be further degraded to Deacetylcephaloglycin lactone. Deacetylation is the rate-determining step in the degradation of Cephaloglycin to lactone[1].
