Benzoylthiocholine (iodide)

Benzoylthiocholine (iodide) is an organic compound containing choline, sulfur and iodide ions. It is commonly used in studies of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibition in enzymatic research. Benzoylthiocholine (iodide) has several applications in the pharmaceutical industry, notably as a substrate for the assay of AChE activity and in the development of drugs to improve neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease.
