Shikimate-3-phosphate (lithium)

Shikimate-3-phosphate lithium is the salt form of Shikimate-3-phosphate. Shikimate-3-phosphate lithium is a central microbial, parasite and plant metabolite, as a product of the shikimate kinase-catalysed reaction. Shikimate-3-phosphate lithium serves as an enzyme substrate for 5-enolpyruvoyl-shikimate 3-phosphate synthase, which is a target of anti-infectives and of herbicides[1].
