L- (–)-Norepinephrine bitartrate hydrate

Norepinephrine is a catecholamine hormone that functions as an adrenergic neurotransmitter. It increases heart rate, blood pressure, alertness and triggers the release of glucose. The levels of norepinephrine increase during the fight-or-flight response. It is an agonist of adrenergic receptors with Ki values of 330 nM and 56 nm for α1 and α2A adrenoceptors respectively.
