Human Eotaxin-3 (CCL26) Recombinant
Recombinant Eotaxin-3 is a disulfide-linked homodimeric protein consisting of 72 amino acid residues, and migrates as an approximately 9 kDa protein under non-reducing and reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE. Optimized DNA sequence encoding human Eotaxin-3 mature chain was expressed inE. coli.

Background
Eotaxin belongs to the platelet factor-4 family of chemokines. The factor is being referred to also as Eotaxin-2 and has been renamed CCL24. Both eotaxin-2/CCL24 and eotaxin-3/CCL26 are CC chemokines and functional ligands for CC chemokine receptor 3 (CCR3), which is preferentially expressed on eosinophils. Only 34% of the amino acids in eotaxin-2/CCL24 and eotaxin-3/CCL26 are identical, but these two chemokines have a common characteristic feature in terms of chemotaxis for eosinophils via the CCR3.

Lyophilized protein
Reconstitution
Reconstitute at 0.1-1.0 mg/ml in distilled water. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers. To maximize product collection from vial surface, vortex briefly and then spin down to recollect the liquid.
Shipping Conditions
Gel Packs or Dry Ice
Storage Conditions
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt when stored at -20°C. Upon reconstitution, store in working aliquots at +4°C for up to one month, or at -20°C for up to six months, in the presence of a carrier protein. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
