Mouse Eotaxin Recombinant
Recombinant mouse Eotaxin is a disulfide-linked homodimeric protein consisting 75 amino acid residues, and migrates as an approximately 8 kDa protein under non-reducing and reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE. Optimized DNA sequence encoding Mouse Eotaxin mature chain was expressed inE. coli.

Background
Eotaxin belongs to the platelet factor-4 family of chemokines. The gene symbol is SCYA11. The factor is being referred to also as Eotaxin-1 and has been renamed CCL11. Eotaxin induces substantial accumulation of eosinophils in the skin without significantly affecting the accumulation of neutrophils. Eotaxin is a potent stimulator of both guinea pig and human eosinophilsin vitro. The Eotaxin receptor is a G-protein-coupled receptor selectively expressed in human eosinophils .
