Intelectin 1 Antibody / ITLN1

Human intelectin-1 (ITLN-1) is a novel identified galactose binding lectin that is usually expressed in the heart, small intestine, and colon. In normal tissues, human intelectin-1 was mainly secreted from gastrointestinal goblet cells along with mucus into the intestinal lumen, and it was also expressed, to a lesser extent, in mesothelial cells and urinary epithelial cells. It is overexpressed in human malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) . In contrast, sarcomatoid-type MPMs, biphasic MPMs, and poorly differentiated MPMs are rarely positive for intelectin-1, and it is not expressed in other cancers, except in mucus-producing adenocarcinoma.

Image Legend

Analysis of HuProt (TM) microarray containing more than 19,000 full-length human proteins using Intelectin 1 antibody (clone ITLN1/4066) . These results demonstrate the foremost specificity of the ITLN1/4066 mAb. Z- and S- score: The Z-score represents the strength of a signal that an antibody (in combination with a fluorescently-tagged anti-IgG secondary Ab) produces when binding to a particular protein on the HuProt (TM) array. Z-scores are described in units of standard deviations (SD's) above the mean value of all signals generated on that array. If the targets on the HuProt (TM) are arranged in descending order of the Z-score, the S-score is the difference (also in units of SD's) between the Z-scores. The S-score therefore represents the relative target specificity of an Ab to its intended target.
