Applications Notes
Further information: Methanol fixation recommended for immunocytochemistry. For immunohistochemistry on frozen tissues (fixed in methanol, aceton or 1% paraformaldehyde) a PBS buffer containing 0.1 mM CaCl2 and 0.1 mM MgCl2 is recommended. For immunohistochemistry on paraffin tissue the sections should be pretreated with 1 mg/ml pepsin in 0.01 N HCl for 30 minutes at room temperature.
