Fibroblast activation protein (FAP), also known as seprase, is a homodimeric integral protein gelatinase belonging to the serine protease family. FAP has been implicated in the control of fibroblast growth or epithelial-mesenchymal interactions during development, tissue repair, and epithelial carcinogenesis.
