KDM3A (N) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
Rabbit polyclonal to KDM3A.Lysine-specific histone demethylase 3A (KDM3A) is a histone demethylase that specificallydemethylates 'Lys-9' of histone H3, thereby playing a central role in histone code. KDM3Apreferentially demethylates mono-and dimethylated H3 'Lys-9' residue, with a preference fordimethylated residue, while it has weak or no activity on trimethylated H3 'Lys-9'. KDM3A is involvedin hormone-dependent transcriptional activation, by participating in recruient to androgen-receptortarget genes, resulting in H3 'Lys-9' demethylation and transcriptional activation. KDM3A has beenimplicated in spermatogenesis by regulating expression of target genes such as PRM1 and P1, which are required for packaging and condensation of sperm chromatin. KDM3A is also involved inobesity resistance through regulation of metabolic genes such as PPARA and UCP1.
