CUL3 (C) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
Rabbit polyclonal to CUL3.CUL3 is a component of a ubiquitin E3 ligase that is essential for mitotic division. CUL3 is a corecomponent of multiple cullin-RING-based BCR (BTB-CUL3-RBX1) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligasecomplexes which mediate the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of targetproteins. As a scaffold protein, CUL3 may contribute to catalysis through positioning of the substrateand the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme. The E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase activity of the complex isdependent on the neddylation of the cullin subunit and is inhibited by the association of thedeneddylated cullin subunit with TIP120A/CAND1 (By similarity) . BCR (SPOP) is involved inubiquitination of BMI1/PCGF4, H2AFY and DAXX, and probably GLI2 or GLI3, as well as cyclin E andof cyclin D1.
