CCL17 is clustered on the q arm of chromosome 16.It has been shown to display chemotactic activity for T lymphocytes but not monocytes orgranulocytes. CCL17 has the ability to bind to CCR4 and CCR8. CCL17 plays a role in T-celldevelopment in thymus along with trafficking and activation of mature T cells.
