CD44 (C) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
Rabbit polyclonal to CD44.CD44 molecule (Indian blood group) (CD44) is a cell surface glycoprotein involved in cell-cellinteractions, cell adhesion and migration. It is a receptor for hyaluronic acid (HA) and can alsointeract with other ligands, such as collagens, and matrix metalloproteinases. Adhesionwith HA plays a role in cell migration, tumor growth and progression. CD44 is also involved inlymphocyte activation, recirculation and homing, and hematopoiesis. Due to alternative splicing, CD44 has high heterogeneity with many functionally distinct isoforms, which may also contribute totumor metastasis.
