ATF2 (C) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
Rabbit polyclonal to ATF2.Activating transcription factor 2 (ATF2) is a member of the leucine zipper family of DNA bindingproteins. It binds to the cAMP-responsive element (CRE), which is an octameric palindrome. It hasthe ability to form a homodimer or a heterodimer with c-Jun and stimulate CRE-dependenttranscription. ATF2 is also a histone acetyltransferase that specifically acetylates histones H2B andH4 in vitro, therefore it may represent a class of sequence-specific factors that activate transcriptionby direct effects on chromatin components.
