IL-4 R alpha / CD124 Recombinant Protein

IL-4 R alpha is also known as IL4R, CD124, IL-4RA.This gene encodes the alpha chain of the interleukin-4 receptor, a type I transmembrane protein that can bind interleukin 4 and interleukin 13 to regulate IgE antibody production in B cells. Allelic variations in this gene have been associated with atopy, a condition that can manifest itself as allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, asthma, or eczema. The binding of IL-4 or IL-13 to the IL-4 receptor on the surface of macrophages results in the alternative activation of those macrophages. Interleukin-4 receptor has been shown to interact with SHC1.

Lyophilized Protein should be stored at -20˚ C or lower for long term storage. Upon reconstitution, working aliquots should be stored at -20˚ C or -70˚ C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

This protein carries a human IgG1 Fc tag at the C-terminus. The protein has a calculated MW of 50.4 kDa. The protein migrates as 60-80 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.
