ZEB1 (Human) ELISA Kit
Zinc finger E-box-binding homeobox 1 (ZEB1, TCF8) is a homeodomain transcription factor that belongs to the zinc finger family of proteins. ZEB1 is a master regulator of epithelial to mesenchymal transition; it binds to the promoter regions of epithelial marker proteins such as E-cadherin and inhibits their transcriptional activity, thereby promoting mesenchymal transition. ZEB1 also promotes differentiation of several tissues such as smooth muscles, bones, and neural tissues. Increased expression of ZEB1 has been reported in several cancers such as breast, lung, colon, liver, and pancreas, thereby making it an attractive target for anti-cancer therapy. BioVision’s ZEB1 (Human) ELISA kit quantitatively measures ZEB1 in human serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. Test samples, Standards, and Biotinylated Detection antibody are added to the wells pre-coated with capture antibody and then washed with Wash Buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added to the plate, and post-incubation any unattached conjugates are washed off by Wash Buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected using TMB-substrate. Finally, an acidic stop solution terminates the enzymatic reaction. The color developed is directly proportional to the amount of ZEB1 in the sample or standard.
