6-Gingediol
6-Gingediol (compound 13) is a pungent component of ginger with potential anti-serotonin and gastric mucosal protective effects. 6-Gingediol has no pungent effect at concentrations below 10 μM, but the pungent effect is significant at concentrations above 100 μM or even 1000 μM[1].
