The lipophilic moiety can encapsulate hydrophobic drugs whereas the hydrophilic PEG chain helps the overal water solubility of the micelles. Cholesterol-PEG-Azide (MW 2000) can be reacted with alkyne via CuAAC or SPAAC click chemistry.
