6-keto-PGF1 α ELISA Kit

6-keto-PGF1α is a stable hydrolysis product of prostacyclin. PGI2 has autocoid functions that include platelet aggregation, inhibition of vasoconstrictor responses to pressor hormones, platelet anti- and disaggregatory properties, and reproductive functions. The effects are induced by receptor-mediated elevation of cAMP. Prostacyclin has clinical applications in atherosclerosis and protection from myocardial ischemia. BioVision 6-keto-PGF1α ELISA Kit is based on Competitive ELISA principle. The micro-plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with 6-keto-PGF1α. During the reaction, 6-keto-PGF1αin the samples or standard competes with 6-keto-PGF1α coated on the plate for binding to the anti-6-keto-PGF1αantibody. Then Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well, and TMB substrate is for color development. There is a negative correlation between the OD value of samples and the concentration of 6-keto-PGF1α. The concentration of 6-keto-PGF1αin the samples can be calculated by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
